The Walking Dead is an American TV series based on the comic book written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics. It tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse wherein a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes (portrayed by Andrew Lincoln), try to stay alive under near-constant threat of attacks from the mindless zombies, colloquially known as "walkers".
The show is exclusively broadcast on AMC in the United States and internationally on Fox International Channels. It premiered on October 31, 2010, and is presently airing its ninth season. Watch for the last episode of Season 9 which will be aired this March 2019 as it will be the last season for Andrew Lincoln and Lauren Cohan.
